About the Author
John Diamond
Drawn to words for as long as I can remember, I began writing in school and never truly stopped. In high school, two of my poems found their way into Teen Zone Magazine’s poet’s corner and seeing them in print lit a spark I didn’t yet know would grow.
I studied creative writing, literature, language, and psychology for a semester at university before stepping away for personal reasons. Life took me into other work, far from books, but the pull of the page never left.
I also illustrate my own work, a skill nurtured by my mother, whose artistic creativity shaped my own.
Anonymity is my quiet space — a place of solitude and peace. My words are shaped by observation, emotion, and the truths most people never say aloud, but really want to scream.
I live in South Africa, where I spend my free time reading, writing, painting, listening to music, and being with family and friends. This is my first book and the return of a voice I thought I had left behind.
